MEDIVIEW is a cloud-and-client platform designed for emergency medical services (EMS) that efficiently transmits patient data from the field to care facilities in as little as 30 seconds. This system is distinctive in its integration of Social Determinants of Health into the 9-1-1 record architecture. It stands as one of the most comprehensive electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems in the EMS industry, built to operate effectively during high-stress scenarios such as natural disasters—including earthquakes, hurricanes, and tornadoes—when cellular networks may be compromised. It also offers reliable functionality in rural areas where connectivity can be limited.

Auto-Sync (Store & Forward, Record Merging)

To mitigate the risks associated with system failures, such as dead batteries, MEDIVIEW automatically saves the full data record each time a new data point is logged. Users can initiate patient care reports (PCRs) both online and offline, allowing them to begin a report now and complete it at a later time. This feature enhances mass casualty incident (MCI) responses and facilitates coordinated care among mutual aid agencies. MEDIVIEW was the pioneering ePCR system to implement auto-sync capabilities, backing up data between field and cloud units every 30 seconds to ensure data security and continuous quality improvement (CQI). The platform’s ability to merge multiple offline records enables comprehensive organization during MCIs—consolidating records from various agencies while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.

PCR Templates – 5 Minute Charting!

PCR templates enable agencies to prepopulate a customizable “master” PCR template that streamlines the charting process. By clicking just a few buttons, users can fill in numerous NEMSIS- and agency-required values. This innovation aims to significantly reduce charting time and simplify quality assurance/continuous quality improvement processes, given that substantial portions of each PCR are predefined. This efficiency allows personnel to devote more time to clinical data collection and ensures critical details are captured for hospitals while en route to the emergency department. The implementation of ePCR templates has demonstrated an impressive reduction in charting time—from an average of 45 minutes down to as little as 5 minutes per PCR, representing a potential reduction of up to 66%.
